Republicans must form a CONGRESS OF REPUBLICAN STATES
If we don’t start using our dwindling power soon, it will all be gone.
In 1765, nine American colonies convened a Stamp Act Congress in New York City for the purpose of protesting the Stamp Act, which the British Parliament had enacted earlier that year. The Stamp Act Congress was a polite affair, and its only consequence was to produce a 14-point Declaration of Rights and Grievances, which petitioned the king to (among other things) repeal the Stamp Act.
This was the first time that the colonies had organized themselves into a united front to communicate with the British crown. Prior to this, each colony had conversed with the king only independently via its own governor. Modest and polite as it was, the Stamp Act Congress set a precedent, representing a new way of thinking amongst the colonists. A scant nine years later, all the colonies would join to replace it with the Continental Congress, the precursor of our federal government, which would ultimately conduct the Revolutionary War.
Republicans today face a far more dire situation than the colonists of 1765. Our nation is in the grip of an utterly lawless political party that seeks to eradicate our liberties and upend our Constitution entirely. Through taxpayer-funded handouts that it provides to various groups, the Democratic Party now controls our federal agencies, academia, most of corporate America, and all mainstream press and social media outlets. Via their control of the public schools, Democrats indoctrinate children in Marxist ideology and molest them with sexual propaganda. Via their control of the colleges, they are building a Red Army, a militia of Brownshirt thugs, that will violently attack any group that protests the relentless waves of Democrat malevolence.
Democrats are forging a path toward single-party control of a Marxist nation. They laugh at our laws, flooding us with illegal aliens who are populating their states, aliens who soon will be assisting Democrats with their elections and illegally voting Democrat. Even without this influx, Democrats will become unbeatable via their relentless enactment of ever-more-insane voting laws designed to facilitate election fraud, along with their corruption of electronic voting systems.
Use It Or Lose It
There are 22 states with Republican trifectas, all of which also have Republican triplexes, which means that within these states the Republican Party wields almost unlimited power. This seems encouraging until we consider that the political winds are blowing the wrong way:
We lost one trifecta in the 2022 election; we now have 22, down from 23.
Democrats now have 17, up from 15.
So even though we’re still ahead at 22 to 17, the Democrats are gaining. With their complete disregard of the law and their mastery of election deception, it won’t be long before Republican trifecta states are in the minority.
What should we do with our 22 trifectas? We should form a CONGRESS OF REPUBLICAN STATES as soon as possible. Republican governors should meet regularly, bringing along select members of their legislatures, to create a sub-government that works ceaselessly to FORM A UNIFIED FRONT that actively resists the onslaught of the Democrat machine.
You might think that even with a unified front we’d be powerless to control national policy while we have an enemy in the White House. But you might be wrong. Here's a practical example of what the Congress of Republican States could do regarding immigration:
Governors Abbott (TX) and DeSantis (FL) are playing silly games, shipping tiny groups of illegal aliens to Democrat cities. Yes it’s all very funny, embarrassing hypocritical Democrat “sanctuary” mayors by temporarily overloading them, but Abbott and DeSantis are playing right into the Democrats’ hands. Their efforts to expel illegal aliens from their states will backfire: All those illegal aliens will end up in Democrat states, assisting in Democrat elections, illegally voting Democrat, and increasing those states’ Democrat congressional representation after the 2030 census. Democrats must be laughing themselves silly watching us behave exactly as they expected.
In war, the only rational course of action is to intelligently use the resources you have to exert whatever control you can. This is especially true when you are at a disadvantage. Under a Democrat administration, Republicans cannot legally expel aliens from the country. Fine. So, rather than cede control to the Democrats, we must take control in the only way we can, as described here:
Yes it seems counterintuitive to beat the Democrats at their own game by employing precisely their own strategies, but guess what? The Democrats’ strategy is working, whereas our response (to demand that Democrats do the “right thing”) is foolish beyond belief.
Losing when we could be winning
There are many legal means whereby Republicans can collectively fight Democrats’ federal-government policies in our own states. Further, as the above example illustrates, we can take control of national and international policy even when we don’t occupy the White House or have majorities in either branch of Congress.
Unfortunately, it is our tendency to act “on principle” and to imagine that Democrats can somehow be coerced to do the “right thing.” This is insane. The Democratic Party at this point would best be viewed in the same way that one views a rabid dog:
you don’t appeal to its better instincts,
you don’t try to reason with it,
you don’t complain that it is behaving poorly,
and you don’t expect that it will suddenly become a good citizen.
What you do with a rabid dog is to take decisive action to defend yourself from it. Following that you take decisive action to permanently eliminate its threat.
As author J.D. Rucker says:
We're Losing on Every Front So We Must Change Strategies Immediately
And as Diane L. Gruber says:
DEMOCRAT PRESIDENTS FOR ALL ETERNITY: NATIONAL POPULAR VOTE COMPACT
As Diane points out, the Democrats (as usual) are already far ahead of us. Their National Popular Vote Interstate Compact is essentially a Democrat version of the Congress of Republican States I am proposing here. They’re already doing this.
Democrats are pushing us inexorably toward a Marxist totalitarian state. They’ve been working on this for a hundred years. If you think this is an exaggeration, check out Trevor Loudon’s "Counterpunch" videos. Here are some select ones to get you started:
The endgame
Republicans lackadaisically assume that the USA will go on forever with its tug-of-war swaying the political pendulum back and forth, as has been the case for two centuries. It’s time to end this delusion and get to work. At this point, only a Congress of Republican States can prevent the downfall of the USA. Let’s get to it, before we lose our USA completely and forever.
Because under the coming Democrat Marxist dictatorship, there won’t be any Republican trifectas.
Teachers union has corrupted the membership. “Good” teachers are afraid to speak up. The single reason they can be fired.
Interesting idea. But why aren't the republicans aggressively using the protections and remedies the founders put into the constitution? Such as the 10th amendment and Article V. We've lost the whole vital and central concept of the founding, Federalism and states' rights. The fatal conceit of the "experts" and progressivism have been a cancer that's metastasized over the past hundred years to the point it's about to finally kill its host, the USA. And consequently, liberty and capitalism along with it.
